Patricia Ann Whitehead

Patricia Anne Whitehead, 67, of Eldersburg (formerly of Catonsville) passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Monday, January 18, 2016, following a short battle with Acute Leukemia. Born April 17, 1948 in Plainfield, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Kreyling) Ellis. She was the wife of the late Gary James Whitehead who passed away March 28, 2013. They had been married for 40 years. Pat attended James Madison College before beginning a career in the banking industry. She worked as a Member Services Representative with Security Plus Federal Credit Union for 37 years before retiring in 2013. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with family. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eldersburg. Pat is survived by daughter and son-in-law Wendy and Lawrence Gill of Sykesville, sister Dottie Stern-Alaras of Florida, brothers Robert Ellis of Illinois and William Ellis of Eldersburg, and grandchildren Abigail Gill and Zachary Miller. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016, 11:00am at Faith Lutheran Church, 1700 St. Andrews Way, Eldersburg, MD 21784. A luncheon reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Memorial donations can be made in Pat's name to Faith Lutheran Church or to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD, 21157.
