Mr. James Edward Brown, Sr., 80, of Catonsville, MD passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Patapsco Valley Nursing Home in Randallstown, MD.
He was born on February 15, 1935 in Frederick, MD and one of twelve children born to the late Darby and Bessie Luvenia (Bowens) Brown.
   James worked many years as a construction laborer.  James had a passion for watching western movies and there was nothing like spending time and telling old stories of the past with his family.  He loved being with people and when he could would ride his blue scooter and chat with family and friends.
   He is survived by his children Jimmie, Jr. and wife Deborah of West VA, Denise, Janice  and husband Carlton, Samantha and Sharon, all of Maryland; one sister, Hilda Johnson of Maryland and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Funeral Services will be held Saturday, 1:00 PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home & Monument Company, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD with Certified Lay Minister Brother David Fossett officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM till time of service on Saturday.
