Obituary

Clara Mae Pappas, 95, of Windsor Mill, and her brother William J. (Bud) Flint, 89, of Ellicott City died Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Seasons Hospice in Randallstown, Maryland. They passed within hours of each other. They were the children of the late William J. and Amar Pfeiffer Flint. Clara was born March 8, 1925 and Bud was born May 25, 1930, both in Baltimore. Bud spent his career with USF&G Insurance Co. in Baltimore, starting out as a clerk in the mailroom. After joining the Army serving in Korea, he returned and worked his way up to Executive Vice President before retiring after 35 years in 1997. His hobbies included building electronics and creating pastel renderings. His passions were Baltimore football and supporting our military troops through multiple organizations. Clara was the wife of the late Thomas H. Pappas. They had been married for 43 years before his passing in 1991. She was a mother and homemaker who enjoyed creating ceramics, collecting tea sets, and building and decorating doll houses. She is survived by sons Tom, Bruce and Mark Pappas and daughter Gayle James. She is also survived by granddaughters Angie Costello and Lauren Vazzano. Also survived by great grandchildren Keelan and Shane Costello and Lucas and Chloe Vazzano. Bud was the loving uncle and great uncle to Clara’s children. They both cherished memories and reunions with their extended family. Funeral services and interment were private.
