Von Christian Pfeiffer, 77, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Medstar Good Samaritan Hospital following a short illness. Born January 8, 1948 in Cumberland, Maryland, he was the son of the late George Edward and Ida Elizabeth Siegner Pfeiffer and the loving husband of Judy Furlow. Von graduated from Allegany High School and Allegany College in Cumberland, and was a member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. An accomplished musician, he served in the United States Army Band, and was proud to render honors at Arlington National Cemetery. Von was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 100 of Cumberland, Maryland. He was employed at Frostburg State University, Ciena Corporation, API of Columbia and retired from the cyber security industry. His love for music and the outdoors was only exceeded by the love of his deep Christian faith. Von was a devoted member of The Restored Church of God. In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by his brother, Larry Pfeiffer (Linda), and sister-in-law, Rita Furlow (Loren Andrews), nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
