Una Fay Thompson

Una Fay Thompson, 97, of Columbia, Maryland, passed away peacefully on May 2nd,2026 with her daughter at her side. Born on July 21st,1928 in Watermount, St. Catherine, Jamaica West Indies, to the late Estella and Theodore Thompson.

She was a member of the Atholton Seventh Day Adventist Church. Una was the 4th of 10 children (8 girls 6 of whom predeceased her, Mavis, Veta, Pearl, Evelyn, Sybil, and Paulette and 2 boys, 1 of whom also predeceased her Roy). She enjoyed gardening, travelling, and spending time with her family. She was a loving sister, strong disciplinarian, a wonderful mother, an amazing and loving grandmother, friend, and great homemaker.

She was a loving mother to Donald (Danny)Johnson and to Jacqueline (Jacquie)Beecher, and grandmother to Karissa and Christine Beecher. She is survived by 1 sister Sheila Thompson, and 1 brother Ashley Thompson, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon on June 14th,2026 at Ellicott City Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3291 St. Johns Lane, Ellicott City. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery in Marriottsville.
