Timothy Joseph Chairs, Sr. of Eldersburg, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the age of 63. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Leslie; sons Timothy, Jr. (Kourtni) and Patrick (Stephanie); son-in-law Christopher Smith; siblings Pamella J.; Samuel W. III (Denise); Ann P. “Tammy” Johnson (Joe); Teresa L. O’Neill (Jerry); Todd A. (Annemarie); Thomas M. Sr. (Mary); and his three treasured grandchildren, Brendan, Collin, and Danielle who affectionately called him Pops. He was predeceased by his parents Samuel W. Chairs, Jr. and Patricia Chairs as well as his cherished daughter, Brittany Ann Smith. Tim was known for his strong work ethic, unwavering commitment to providing for his family, and always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Tim grew up in Ellicott City and graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School. He devoted his talents to building a successful career as Vice President of ASI. Tim enjoyed playing golf with family and friends, cheering on the Ravens, boating in Ocean City, and attending The Preakness. Tim was a faithful member of the Freedom District Lions Club for many years. He touched the lives of all that knew him and his generous heart will be his foremost legacy. Visitation will be held at Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home 6028 Sykesville Road in Eldersburg on Monday, January 27th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Community 915 Liberty Road in Eldersburg on Tuesday, January 28th at 11:00 am. A Christian burial will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens 2150 Mount View Road in Marriottsville.
