Susan Joyce (Johnson) Penn

Susan Joyce Penn, 61, of Sykesville, died surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the home of her daughter April. Born November 6, 1961 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William and Marsha Glenn Miller Johnson. Susan had worked for many years in the area supermarkets as a receiver for both Shoppers and Weis Markets in Eldersburg. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and doing her family genealogy. She is survived by Franklin Penn III and wife Marley, Benjamin Penn and wife Olivia and April Penn Staley and husband Chris, siblings Carol Pickett and husband Charles, Betty Higgs- Swartz and husband Allen, Michael Johnson and wife Tami and grandchildren Tyson, Taylor, Kelsi, Savannah, Aubree, Brynn and Cash. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023, 7:00 PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-7:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
