Steven Douglas Martin, 39, of Sykesville, passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2025 at his home. Born May 14, 1986 in Takoma Park, Maryland, he was the son of Douglas and Nancy Panizari Martin. He was the son-in law of Edward and Sharon Squillario. Steven was the fiancé of Lindsey Squillario and the father of Madelynn and Stetson Martin. Steven is survived by brother Shaun O’Connor (Jessica Campbell), brother-in-law Chris Squillario (Chelsie Garbedian), nieces Savannah Campbell, Kinsley O’Connor, and Sage Squillario. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins where he held a special place for them all in his heart. Steven worked as a general contractor specializing in home improvement. As an avid outdoorsman, Steven enjoyed shed hunting and spending time in the garden with his daughter. Steven had a passion for bass fishing; he participated in local fishing tournaments where he earned multiple trophies. He took pride in cooking for his family and friends. Some of his most cherished moments were laughter with his children, teaching them patience, appreciation for nature, and the simple joy of being together. Memorial services will be held at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland. The family will receive friends Saturday December 27, 2025 from 1-3PM at the funeral home, followed by a short memorial service.
