Stephen Crosby, 63, of Sykesville, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at his home with his loving wife Suzanne by his side. Born December 12, 1962 in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Mary Mahady Crosby. He was the devoted father of Jacob Crosby and the loving husband of Suzanne Crosby. They had been married for 20 years. Stephen was a safety director for several different trucking companies. They included Giant, Arsenal and Blue Linx. He was a U.S. Army veteran and an Army Ranger. He enjoyed skiing, surfing, swimming, fishing and travel : Maine and Aruba frequently. He was a talented Craftsman. He enjoyed working with wood. He built a school desk and book cubicle for Jacob during COVID, a very large gaming desk and most recently he helped Jacob build a “die” table for outdoor use. In addition to his wife Suzanne, Stephen is survived by son Jacob Crosby and siblings Ken, Michael and Carol Crosby. He is also survived by sister-in-law Sharyn Babbitt, sister- in- law Michelle Cory and her husband John Watts and his niece Taylor and his nephew Brandon. A celebration of life will be held in Massachusetts during the summer. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
