Spencer Amoss Wilson, 95, of Sykesville, died Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at his home in the company of his three daughters following a brief illness. Born June 3, 1930 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Clarence and Beatrice Amoss Wilson. He had been a transmission mechanic for most of his life owning and operating Southern Automatic Transmission Service in Baltimore. He was a member of the Freedom Masonic Lodge #112 A.F. & A. M in Sykesville as well as the Boumi Shrine Temple in Baltimore. He was a member and past Captain of the Boumi Motor Corps, and was past member and commander of the Boumi Air Corps. Spence enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson 1200 and flying his Cessna 172. He loved to get together with his family and friends and enjoy his favorite, Maryland steamed crabs. He is survived by his daughters Lynn Wilson (Matthew Pundzak), Catherine Levy (Larry Levy), and Dawn Wilson. Grandchildren Jennifer Welling, Patricia Welling (Christopher Hagen), Christopher Pundzak, Joseph Wilson (Stephanie Wilson), Allen Wilson, and Christopher Wilson. He was preceded in death by son David S. Wilson and sister Esther Jean Gunning. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland, on Sunday, July 13, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. A masonic memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 3:00PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park.
