Sandra Lee (Glasco) Kratz

Sandra Lee Glasco Kratz, 75, of Sykesville, went with our Lord, Jesus Monday, January 2, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born May 10, 1947, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William Walter and Cecilia Kerxton Glasco. She was the wife of Alan Ridgeway Kratz Sr. for over 40 years. Sandra had worked 17 years as an executive secretary at McCormick Co. and later after raising Alan Jr. to school age; as a brokerage rep at T.Rowe Price. She fought a courageous battle with breast cancer since 2011, and in 2019 the doctors gave her less than 6 months. God had the last word, and gave us over seven times what the doctors said, and she continued to live every day to the fullest right up until God called her home. She enjoyed staying up late planning special events and gift shopping, sleeping in when she could, Oceanfront accommodations at Ocean City, MD, taking care of everyone, and most of all spending quality time with her loved ones. Crabcakes were her favorite meal, and she also loved anything chocolate. She taught Sunday School at Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church, and sang in the choir as well as attending and managing Keenagers group for several years. In addition to her husband, Sandra is survived by son Alan R. Kratz Jr. and half-brother Michael. She was predeceased by father, mother, and older sister Connie Glasco who affectionately called her Duck. Memorial services will be held in the springtime according to her wishes.
