Rosa Julia Wright, 84, of Columbia, died Friday morning, June 5, 2026 at Bright View Rolling Hills Senior Living in Catonsville in the company of her devoted daughters.
Born April 13, 1942 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Domingo Rivera and Julia Lopez. She was the loving wife of 53 years to the late Joseph F. Wright, Jr. who died February 16, 2024.
Rosa was a former 5th grade Elementary School teacher. She enjoyed her students tremendously. She also enjoyed gardening, listening to music, singing, cooking, playing bingo and dominos. She also enjoyed traveling to Skyline Drive and West Virginia. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Clarksville.
Rosa is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Marie Wright Creutzer, wife of Scott, Karen Marie Wright Alvarez, wife of Michael, her sister, Soveida Rivera Lopez, brother Inoel Rivera Lopez, grandchildren Julia Elizabeth Marie Creutzer, Christopher Scott Joseph Creutzer, Christian Michael Joseph Alvarez and Isabella Rosemarie Alvarez. She loved her grandchildren very much.
Private services and burial will be held at St. Louis Chapel and Cemetery.
The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
