Richard Hunter Waters

Richard Hunter Waters, 93, of Westminster died peacefully on November 20, 2021. He was born on January 22, 1928, the son of Hunter and Marian Waters. Richard leaves behind his sons Donald (Beverly), Kenneth (Karen), and Jeffrey (Carolyn), 11 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Douglas, his sister, Patricia, and his beloved wife of 66 years, Annette. A quiet, gracious, caring, and gentle man with a sharp wit and an understated sense of humor, Richard was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He had a rewarding career as an electrical engineer, but was also a skilled handyman, puzzler, and cross-stitcher. Visitation will be November 24, 2021, 11 a.m.-12 noon. at Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Rd, Sykesville, MD. A service will be held at noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery, 2150 Mount View Road, Marriottsville, MD, with a reception afterwards.
