Phyllis Knox Gettier, 81, of New Oxford, Pennsylvania, died Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Brethren Home Community. Born October 3, 1935 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Anna Benyon Knox. She was the wife of the late Richard Harry “Dick” Gettier who died June 8, 1997. They had been married for 10 years. She was a life long artist. Phyllis was a graduate of the Maryland Art Institute. She was also very active in the Democratic political arena of the 1970’s. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Jeffrey Trump and Mary, Kevin Trump and Carla, and Christopher Trump. She is also survived by sister Sandy Cosgrove, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother Robert Knox and sister Elva Pitt. Funeral services will be 12:30 PM, Friday, at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD with the Rev. Errol Smith officiating.
