Peggy W. Brauning, 82, formerly of Finksburg, died Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Lorien of Mt. Airy.
   Born March 29, 1932 in Milburn, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Effie Woodson Walker. She was the wife of the late Horace S. ‘Bud” Brauning, Jr. who died February 1, 2010. They had been married for 59 years.
   She had been a seventh grade teacher at Westminster Jr. High School. She graduated from Sykesville High School in 1949. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Towson State Teachers College in 1965. She enjoyed spending time traveling and playing bridge. She was the last of her immediate family.
   She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Gregory S. Brauning and Robin of Florida, daughters and sons-in-law Sherrine B. Bollinger and Mark of Westminster and Dr. J. Michele Brauning and Dr. Scott B. Wolpin of Bishopville, MD. She is also survived by grandchildren Melissa Brauning Godek, Shane and Devin Brauning, Ross, Kurt and Hillary Bollinger, Bethany and Samantha Wolpin  and great grandchildren Brian, MacKenzie, Benjamin and Bryce Godek and Kane, Ashlyn and Devin Brauning, Jr. She was preceded in death by brother Benny C. Walker, sister Thelma L. Rash and grandson Walker L. Bollinger.  Services and interment will be private. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg are handling funeral arrangements.
