Paul Raimondi, Jr., 81, of Ellicott City, died Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Gilchrist Hospice of Columbia. Born October 19, 1942 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Paul Raimondi, Sr. and Stella Arpin Raimondi. He was the husband of Charlene Mundis Raimondi. They had been married for 45 years. Paul was the third-generation owner of Raimondi’s Florist. His grandfather opened the business in 1934 as an Italian grocery store, selling flowers out of buckets. Paul took over the business in 1985 from his parents and Raimondi's is now one of Maryland's largest florists and one of the Top 50 florists in the country. Paul enjoyed football and was a diehard fan of the Baltimore Ravens. He had season tickets to the Ravens and planned his schedule to be able to attend all home games. He also loved golfing and spending time with his family. He was the last of his immediate family. In addition to his wife Charlene, Paul is survived by daughters Kimberley Weldon and her husband Andrew, Nicole Szarko and her husband David, grandchildren Justin John, Jordan John, Jared John, Caitlynn Szarko, Christian Szarko and great grandchildren Camden John and Calvin John. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 22, from 2-4 PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland. A memorial service will begin at 4:00PM at the funeral home. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held Tuesday, October 22 from 6-8 PM at Raimondi’s Florist, 10700 Red Run Blvd, Owings Mills, Maryland 21117.
