Paul Francis Klatt

Paul Francis Klatt, 84, of Eldersburg, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Gilchrist Hospice in Columbia surrounded by his loving family.

Born February 17, 1942, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Paul Elmer and Regina Wehrheim Klatt. He was the loving husband to Jo Ann Rita Klatt (Herrick). They had been married for 62 years.

Paul had retired from CSX railroad working in the accounts receivable department. He enjoyed fishing, doing outdoor work around his home, an avid supporter of his grandchildren’s school and sporting events, but most importantly spending time with his family and friends. He graduated from Calvert Hall College High School, Class of 1960, and was a supportive alumnus. He and his wife were members of St. Joseph Catholic Community.

In addition to his wife Jo Ann, Paul is survived by son Gregory ‘Greg’ Klatt, daughter Michele Klatt Fink and her husband Donald, siblings Regina ‘Jean’ Batton, Barbara Turner, Michael Klatt and his wife Cathy and Kevin Klatt. Paul is also survived by grandchildren Marissa, Mikel and Noah and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 12 Noon at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Sykesville. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday at the church from 10:30 AM till time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations be made, in Paul’s name, to your favorite charity or to the caring Gilchrist Hospice Center Howard County.
