Patricia Faye (Lofland) Pittinger

Patricia Faye Pittinger, 82, of Westminster, formerly of Sykesville, died Monday, January 13, 2025, at the Carroll Hospital Center. Born July 18, 1942 in Statesville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Boyd Lafeyette and Katherine Gant Morrow Lofland. She was the wife of the late Richard W. Pittinger, Sr. who died September 15, 2017. They had been married for 57 years. Pat had retired as the director at Milford Mill Child Development Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family and reading. In her younger days she enjoyed gardening, sewing and taking trips with Richard in their camper". She was a member of Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church where she was involved in many of the church’s activities. Pat is survived by son Richard W. Pittinger, Jr. and his wife Marilyn Pittinger, son Ronald Pittinger and his wife Karen Pittinger, grandchildren Kristina Pickett, Ricky Pittinger, Kelly Marques and Zachary Pittinger and great-grandchildren Kameron, Klayton and Kassidy Pickett and Mitchell, Olivia and Elliott Marques. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2025, 11:00 AM at Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church, 961 Johnsville Road, Sykesville, Maryland 21784. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3-6 PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland 21784.
