Myria Mildred Lample, better known as Goo, 89, of Eldersburg, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Bridging Hospice of Sinai, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 13, 1935, in Baltimore, she was the eldest daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Hoofnagle Vleeschower. She was proceeded in death by her brother, Lester Vleeschower and her sister, Sherry Skabisky. In her earlier years, Goo worked at Bell Atlantic Telephone Company as a switch board operator. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing her hair and makeup for any and all occasions and was never seen without her blush and lipstick applied. As expected, she could shop for hours upon hours and had an innate ability to make anything beautiful. Goo will be remembered for her selflessness, always willing to drop whatever she was doing to care for her family. She was especially known for the stories she shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, particularly her beloved Halloween tales. Goo is survived by her daughter, Cindy McCawley and son-in law, Kenneth; brother, William Vleeschower; grandchildren, Kenneth McCawley and wife, Bonnie Dobson; Kristen McCawley; and Kaitlin Betz and husband Justin; and great grandchildren, Nicholas, Catherine, and Emily McCawley. The family will receive friends Thursday March 13, from 11 am – 12 pm at Jeffrey N.
