Michael Thomas Orth, 63, of Sykesville, died Friday, May 10, 2024 at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Sykesville. Born September 30, 1960 in Maryland, he was the son of the Hannelore Rieser and the late Werner Orth. He was the soul mate of Kim Choyce. Michael was a marine mechanic. He enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing and loved the outdoors. He was also a member of a local hunting group. In addition to his mother and his soul mate Kim, Michael is survived by daughters Christi Decker and husband Mark, Nicole Orth, sister Heidi Fazio and her husband Thomas, brother Karl Orth, grandchildren Camden Decker, Cole Decker, Destiny Beasley, Tatyana Elmore, nephew Justin and his wife Erin, nephews Nicholas Fazio, Kevin and his wife Kristin Orth, and Kristopher Orth. Michael was preceded in death by daughter Jesse Orth. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 14, 2024, 12 Noon, at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
