Michael Bucolo, 67, of Sykesville, died Sunday, January 10, 2021, at his home surrounded by his children. Born April 1, 1953 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of Cono and Delores Nault Bucolo. He was predeceased by the late Michele Ann Bucolo, his beloved wife and best friend. They had been married for 37 years and shared a life full of joy and laughter.
He is survived by daughter Emily Jeager and husband Rob, sons Jason Bucolo and significant other Heather Happe, Travis Bucolo and his wife Jill, and Nicholas Bucolo and fiancé Carleigh Coffman and grandchildren Julian, Sonny, Keller, Hendrix, Rita Bucolo and Isaac Happe. He is also survived by brothers Gregory Bucolo and wife Gayle, Cono Bucolo and fiancé Luanne Ciaccio, sister Jeanine Holzer and husband Jeffrey, extended family Bruce and Kay Hutchins, Mike Hutchins, Mark and Maria Hutchins multiple nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Tucker.
Mike adored spending time with his children and grandchildren, watching football and baseball, playing scratch offs and his time on the golf course with good friends. He had a great humor to him and was famous for his dad jokes and charming smile. He will always be remembered for his hard work and dedication. Mike was known as the “cookie guy” as he worked the logistics and warehousing for the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland for over 30 years during their cookie distribution season. He held position as president of the Traffic Club of Baltimore for the years 2008-2009, was involved in the Maritime Golf League and other transportation clubs.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, 2:00PM at Lakeview Memorial Park, 2724 Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD. All are welcome, masks must be worn with social distancing in place. There will be no public visitation.
