Maude Ellen (White) Hoffmeister

Maude Ellen Hoffmeister, 93, of Sykesville, died Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at her home. Born December 14, 1930 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Samuel White and the late Elinor Cuba Frizzell White. She was the wife of the late Charles William Hoffmeister, Jr. who died November 19, 2017. They had been married for 66 years. Maude was a homemaker. She enjoyed her home and family. She had planned to host Thanksgiving this year and had bought all of her baking supplies. She loved animals, especially Dachshunds and passed with her last puppy Oliver by her side. She is survived by two sons Charles William (Chuck) Hoffmeister, III, husband of Colleen, Chris R. Hoffmeister, husband of Hilary, grandchildren Leah Hoffmeister and partner Luke, Andrew Hoffmeister and Colleen, Karl Hoffmeister and Lauren and great grandchildren Sonny and Julian Bucolo, Mallory, Charlotte and Luka Hoffmeister. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 11:00AM, at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Maryland. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will be private.
