Obituary

Mary Beth Balsamo, 75, of Finksburg, died Monday, May 29, 2023 at the Dove House. Born September 10, 1947 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Christine Musacchio Bartholomey. She was the wife of Gus Balsamo. They had been married for 19 years. Mary Beth had retired from St. Agnes Hospital as a registered nurse. She enjoyed going out to dinner, doing crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband Gus, she is survived by son David Cross, step children Daniel Balsamo, Diana Zakowski and husband Mark, sisters Regina Zielinski, Christine Bartholomey, grandchildren Tyler and Trevor Zakowski, Winter Cannalito and great granddaughter Stella Solomon. A memorial mass will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church, 43 Monroe Street, Westminster, MD 21157 on Thursday, June 15, 2023, 11:00AM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass at St. John’s. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
