Mario Jose Leitao

Mario Jose Leitao, 72, of Westminster, died peacefully at his home on Friday, March 17, 2023. Born August 27, 1950 in Zebras, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose Rodrigues Leitao and Lurdes Goncalves. He was a loving and devoted husband of Maria Concebida Santos Leitao. They had been married for 28 years. Mario had retired from a career in concrete construction masonry. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching tennis, finding a good deal, laying with his pet dogs (Sammie, Jackson, Diamond), playing the weekly lottery, antiquing, a passion for baking, telling stories and jokes, and always happy to provide his opinion. In addition to his wife Maria, Mario is survived by sons Jimmy Leitao and his wife Natalie, Steven and Kenny Leitao, siblings Angelina Francisco, Ana Cuco, late brother Joaquim Rodrigues, Maria Cacoilo, Idalina Rodrigues and Rosa Milheiro. He is also survived by grandchildren Abigail, Gianna and Josephine Leitao. Family will receive family and friends from 10 -12 PM on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 22, 12:00PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Maryland. Interment will be private.
