Maria Luisa Loayza

Maria “Luisa” Loayza, 87, of Germantown, Maryland, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026 at Bridginglife Dove House.

Born September 22, 1938 in Mexico City, Mexico.

Maria had worked most of her life raising her family. She enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. She was the last of her immediate family.

She is survived by her five children Benita (Flor) Holmes, Jimy Loayza and his wife Jackie, Cesar Loayza and his wife Raquel, Arturo Loayza, Carlos Loayza and his wife Stephanie. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2-4 PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland. Interment will be private.
