Margaret McCormick (McCormick) Jackson

Margaret McCormick Jackson, 75, of Sykesville, died Sunday, July 12, 2026 at Bridginglife Hospice with her loving daughter by her side.

Born November 3, 1950 in Charlottesville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Reese Osgood McCormick and the late Nancy Ilee Walthall McCormick.

Margaret was a case worker for social services. She also had owned and operated a restaurant. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting and fishing. loved playing cards and spending time with her family

She is survived by daughter Patricia Outland and her husband Shane, son William ‘Bill’ Jackson, sisters Beth Herndon, Dorothy Bryant, Teresa Bess and grandchildren Jaxon and Ayla Outland and Tyler, Hailey and Emma Jackson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 22, at the Courtland Baptist Church, 22365 Main Street, Courtland, VA 23837.

The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
