Kenneth Russell Ward

Kenneth Russell Ward, 74, of Highland, Maryland died Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Born March 2, 1951 in Frazee, Minnesota, he was the son of the late Clarence ‘Kice’ Edwin Ward and the late Alice Francis Ziegler Ward. He was the loving and devoted husband of Patricia ‘Tricia’ Ward. They had been happily married for 48 years. Ken was a pharmacist at Laurel Regional Hospital. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his grandchildren, rooting for his favorite sports teams, and searching for unique pottery and antiques with his wife and friends. In addition to his wife Tricia, Ken is survived by daughter and son-in-law Annie and Mike Mitchell; son and daughter-in-law Shawn and Jayme Ward; sister Karen Ward; brother Darrell Ward and his wife Bonnie; and five grandchildren Michael and Taylor Mitchell and Violet, Everett and Stella Ward. A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, September 10 at 6:30PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Sympathies may be expressed in the form of contributions to your local fire station.
