June Elizabeth Linden, 91, of Eldersburg, Maryland, died on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the home of her daughter Diane surrounded by her loving family. Born December 19, 1931 in York, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Rose (nee Nesbit) and Thomas R. Davis. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Neal Linden. June was a homemaker while raising her children and was also a foster mother to 10 children over the years. She later worked and retired from the New Jersey State Board of Education in 2004, at which time she moved to Maryland from Vineland, New Jersey. June was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Sykesville, Maryland. She loved and enjoyed her family and friends, entertaining guests, playing cards with her “girl group”, piano, dancing, volunteering at the local soup kitchen, Bible Studies, and being a member of the Red Hats. June was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Matthew Davis (Dorothy Davis). She is survived by, son Lawrence Douglas Linden, daughter Diane Thomas & son-in-law David Thomas, son Gregory Walter Linden, daughter Tracy Linden Thomas, grandson Andrew Linden Thomas (Mckinley Bryson) granddaughter Mya June Thomas and grandson Matthew Gregory Linden, nephews Thomas W. Davis (Connie Davis) and Richard W. Linden. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
