Josephine Willis Teague, 96, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, while in the company of family members, at Inspirations Assisted Living in Westminster.
Born December 31, 1927, in Clintwood, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Newton Wade and Vicey Deel Willis. She was married for 50 years to William James Teague when he passed away in 1995.
Josephine had retired from Westinghouse Corporation as an executive secretary.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting for family members. She crocheted and even taught others at Inspirations while living there. Her love for gardening began in Virginia as a child and continued in Maryland. She enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles, Most of all, she loved cooking and hosting family dinners. She was a dedicated wife and Mother whose family always came first.
Josephine is survived by a daughter, Sheila Bowman, a son, William Wade Teague, husband of Patricia Melo de Carvalho and granddaughter Courtney Bosley. She was the beloved mother of the late Marianne Teague Bosley and cherished grandmother of the late Justin Ryan Teague and Abigail Bosley . She had three sisters: Shelley Elksnis, Kathy Kaltreider, and the late Gerrie Wells. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends also survive her.
Her family is grateful to the excellent care provided by Inspirations Memory Care and Bridging Life Care staff.
Graveside services will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5829 Ritchie Highway, Baltimore, MD, 21225 at 10:30AM on Wednesday, November 27th. In lieu of flowers, sympathies may be expressed in the form of contributions to Greater Maryland Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
