John Norman Tyson, 81, of Elkridge, died Thursday, August 29, 2024, at BridgingLife Hospice in Westminster, Maryland. Born June 28, 1943 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Larry and Pat Tyson. He was the loving husband of the late Jane F. Tyson. John was a retired administrator in the Baltimore County School System. He loved golf, theatre, sporting events, opera and traveling. He also enjoyed spending time with family, special friends and playing cards with the guys. John is survived by stepdaughters and their husbands Tamara Joy and Ralph Hunsinger, Karen Lynn and Christopher Sulewski, Susan Denise and David Miller, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. John was the last of his immediate family. Services and interment will be private. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD. are assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
