Joan A. (Van Allen) Warnell

Joan A. Warnell, 88, of Finksburg, died Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born April, 14, 1935 in Joliet, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Charles and Louise Santusky Van Allen. She was the wife of the late Ronald Joseph Warnell who died February 9, 2019. They were married for 59 years. Joan was a homemaker. She was also an ordained minister who loved her Lord with all her heart and was never shy about her faith. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Karen Jaye and Stephen Fulton, her two sisters Lou Piotis and Mary Van Allen, granddaughters Savannah Jaye and Grace Manila Fulton, and many nieces and nephews. A family service, at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland, will be held on Thursday, September 21 at 2pm and a gathering at the Full Moon Farm Chateau, 4326 Louisville Road, Finksburg, Maryland 21048, on Friday, September 22 at 6:30pm for friends and family.
