Jeffrey ‘Jeff’ Norris Stansfield, 70, of Tabor City, North Carolina, formerly of Gamber, died Monday, June 2, 2025 at Lower Cape Fear Angel Hospice in Whiteville, North Carolina with his wife Mahala by his side. Born September 24, 1954 in Maryland, he was the son of the late James Norris and Esther Domeneck Stansfield. He was the devoted husband of Mahala Stansfield. They were married for over 21 years. Jeff had retired from Griffith Energy Services as a truck driver. He enjoyed driving and restoring muscle cars. He also loved deep sea fishing, reading, socializing and watching old western movies. He was quite the handyman. In addition to his wife Mahala, Jeff is survived by sister Lynda Mullar, stepchildren Courtney Ferguson and Ian Ferguson, aunt Ruby Vera Cruz and her sons, Jeff's cousins, Ron and Butchie and Butchie's wife, sister-in-law Mary Jane Cruz, cousins George Berg and his wife Debra, cousin Shirley Steedmen and sons Brian and Scott, great nieces Jillian, Lauren, Regan, Erin, Cheryl and Christie Stansfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025, 11:00 at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800, Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, Maryland. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 10 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
