Helen (Summerfield) Graham

Helen Graham, 82, of Finksburg, died Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the home of her son in Halethorpe. Born March 22, 1940 in Elkins, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Arres E. and Lyda Smith Summerfield. She was the wife of Howard Graham. They were married November 25, 1957 and had been married for almost 65 years. Helen had worked as a store manager for Sunny’s Surplus. She enjoyed helping the elderly and shut ins and she liked to travel. At home she liked to feed the birds, rabbits and squirrels and never missed an opportunity to send cards for holidays and birthdays. Helen was present and ready to help at all family events. She was a member of the Church of the Open Door in Westminster and enjoyed all church functions. In addition to her husband Howard, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law Robert and Dawn Graham, brother James R. Summerfield and sister Mary Whalen. Also surviving Helen are granddaughters Katherine Bonadio, Julie Sinclair and great grandchildren Ava and Aidan Bonadio, Nathan and Emily Mohammad. She was preceded in death by siblings Arres W. Summerfield, Vivian House and Leona Summerfield. Visitation, services and interment will be private. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, located at 6028 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Maryland is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
