Helen Becker Obituary

Helen Madora Becker, 91, of Cockeysville, died Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Broadmead Retirement Community. Born November 6, 1930 in Timonium, she was the daughter of the late Edward A. and Emily Waters Becker. Helen had been employed as a pharmaceutical purchasing agent and package design manager for Becton Dickinson & Company which was bought by Hynson, Westcott & Dunning Pharmaceutical Lab. She had worked there for over 44 years. She was very proud of her Native American heritage. She was 50% Cherokee Indian. During her free time, Helen enjoyed art, especially pastels and watercolors. She also had an interest in graphic design and nature. She is survived by brother and sister-in-law Gaither and Betty Becker, 17 nieces and nephews and 19 great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward, Jr. (Reds), Daniel, Philip, Robert, Donald, William, Emily, Shirley & Catherine Graveside services will be held 12:15 PM Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2150 Mount View Road, Marriottsville, Maryland. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland are assisting the family with funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers sympathies may be expressed in the form of contributions to Berea College, 101 Chestnut Street, Berea KY, 40403, Children, Inc., P.O.
