Harry Otis Eyster, 73, of Sykesville, died Thursday, December 24, 2020 at the Carroll Dove House.
Born September 9, 1947 in Wooster, Ohio, he was the son of the late Delbert James and Jeanne White Eyster. He was the loving husband of Michele Eyster. They had been married for over 49 years.
Harry was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local #37 for over 34 years. The major portion of his working career was with Potts and Callahan, Inc. of Baltimore, MD. He also had worked part-time at Ace Hardware in Winfield. He graduated from Ashland High school in Ashland, Ohio in 1967. Harry loved tinkering in the garage and fixing things. He was a handyman and always kept his tools neat and organized. He will be missed by many.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Benjamin Eyster and his wife Crystal, son Daniel Eyster, brother Douglas Eyster and his wife Carol, grandchildren Kyle, Colton and Brooklyn Eyster, sister-in-law Cheryl Eyster and numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by brother James Eyster.
Funeral services and interment will be private. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
