George W. Teague, Sr., 86, of Finksburg, died Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at his home, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. BornApril22, 1939 in Bakersville, North Carolina, he was the son of the late William and Myrtle Campbell Teague. He was the husband of the late Patricia Vera Teague who died July 25, 2018. They had been married for 62 years. He enjoyed NASCAR, Atlantic City and enjoying family. He is survived by, son George W. ‘Buddy’ Teague, Jr. and his wife Carol, grandchildren Danielle, Bradly and Bryan and wife Megan and great grandchildren Adam, Chance and Kayden, siblings Sally Mooney, Mae Silvers and Brad Teague. He was preceded in death daughters Lola McDermott, Patty Sue Palmer and brothers Charles and Bobby Teague and sister Ida Francis. Graveside services will be held Monday, 11:00 AM at Lake View Memorial Park, 2724 Liberty Road, Sykesville, Maryland. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and Monday from 10-10:30 AM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland.
