Ethel May Ellers, 91 of Reisterstown went home to the Lord Friday, January 6th 2023, at the Westminster Health Care Center. Born July 28th 1931, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Randolph Harris Sr. and Elizabeth Ethel Harris nee Tarr. She was the wife of the late Charles William Ellers Jr. for over 48 years. May worked as a switchboard operator for Butler Brothers where she met her husband, Charlie. In 1962 she became a mother and homemaker. May is survived by brother Reverend Thomas Randolph Harris Jr., son Robert Charles Ellers Sr. granddaughter Emily Elizabeth Stevens, her husband Cody Lee Stevens, granddaughter Rebecca Paige Ellers, grandson Robert Charles Ellers Jr. and great granddaughter Lila Elizabeth Stevens and Robert Sr.’s partner Dawn Woolford and her daughter Alexandria. She was predeceased by father and mother, husband, brother Sonny, sisters Dorothy Freeman, and Linda Jean Harris. May enjoyed sunbathing, vegetable gardening and her yellow roses, also she loved crocheting. Her suffering is over she is now at rest with God and family. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at the Jeffery N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road Eldersburg Md., 21784 on Friday, January 13 from 8-9AM. Services will begin at 9:00AM Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Randolph Harris, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery 11501 Garrison Forrest Rd., Owings Mills Md. 21117. Luncheon will be held at the Bucs Club, 3050 Birdview Rd., Westminster Md., 21157 following interment.
