Elisabeth Jane Costlow, 87, of Silver Spring, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at her home. Born June 11, 1930 in Johnstown Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Katherine Ritter Young. She was a retired Registered Nurse from Holy Cross Hospital in Maryland, where she worked for over 35 years. She also earned commission as an officer in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as a Nurse. She held a Bachelor of Science degree, as well as earning many accreditations and awards in her nearly 5 decades as a Registered Nurse. She was an accomplished medical professional who devoted her life to the career she loved. She is survived by sons William A., Christopher W., Michael B., and Thomas P. Costlow, daughters-in-law Dona, Toni, Joanie, and Susan and grandchildren William, Jacob, Christina, Jim, Katie, and Tim Costlow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, 12 Noon at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 12319 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20904. Internment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-9 PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD.
