Earle Franklin ‘Fuzz’ Shaffer, 92 of Westminster died December 10, 2022 at Bridginglife Dove House with his fiancé Pat by his side.
Born June 7, 1930, he was the son of the late William Herbert and Dorothy Grace Hann Shaffer.
He was the last of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by sister Sylvia Kathleen Shaffer Harris, brother Bo Shaffer, brother Robert Bob Shaffer, wives Betty Jane Therit Shaffer Gouker, Pauline Byers Shaffer and son Dennis Reginald ‘Reggie’ Shaffer.
Earle graduated from Hampstead High School in 1948 and retired from Black & Decker after 31 years of service. He was also in the National Guard. He was an avid golfer and was a longtime member at the former Wakefield Valley Golf Club.
He is survived by his fiancé Patricia Pat Desautels and her loving and caring family, sisters-in-laws Alice Shaffer of Manchester and Joan Shaffer of Florida and nieces and nephews on the Shaffer side. He is also survived by step-son David Byers and his wife Tina, step-daughter Helen Hosfeld and her husband Dick and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 11:00AM at Kriders Church Cemetery.
