Doris ‘Penny’ Ann Clark, 73, of Hanover, PA, died Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the North York Nursing Home and Rehab Center. Born December 1, 1949 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Elmer Merryman and Ruth Jane Harris Donnelly and step daughter of the late William Barker. She was the wife of the late Alvin E. Clark, Jr. who died April 14, 2009. They had been married for 42 years. She had worked for the Baltimore County Public School system as a bus driver assistant. She enjoyed shopping for anything related to Christmas at Goodwill and yard sales. She also enjoyed eating crabs and a good joke to laugh at. Doris is survived by sons Alvin E. Clark, III and wife Julie, Dwane E. Clark and wife Carol, daughter Kimberly D. Derr and husband J.D., brother Charles Proffit, grandchildren Paige and Justin Clark, step grandchildren Dillon Frank and Olivia Valentino, Jason and Ryan Falconer and great grandchildren Gavin and Noah. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 16, 11:00 AM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg.
