Donald Pepe

Donald Pepe, 80, of Eldersburg, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born October 2, 1942 in Bayside Queens, New York, he was the son of the late Michael and Marion Grabowski Pepe. He was the devoted husband of Arlene Marie, Pepe (Steiger). They had been married for 55 years. Prior to retirement, Donald had worked as a truck driver for the New York Post. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1964-1966. He enjoyed fishing and going to Off Track Betting (the office). Most of all, spending time with his family and watching the New York Jets. He was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Community. He was the last of his immediate family. In addition to his wife Arlene, Donald is survived by sons Michael Pepe and Aimee, Donald Pepe, Richard Pepe and Kelly, Anthony Pepe and Angela and grandchildren Michael, Jr., Jaimee, Anthony, Kayla, Donovan, Dylan, Isabella and Sophia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 8, 2023,1:00PM, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 915 Liberty Road, Sykesville, Maryland. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 Pm at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland.
