Dolores Frances Rotan

Dolores ‘Dolly’ Rotan, 89, of Eldersburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born March 5, 1932 in Baltimore City, Dolly was the daughter of the late Adam and Mary Hoppa. She was happily married for over 60 years to Don Rotan who passed September 17, 2014. Dolly and her husband had lived in Florida for over two decades together. She loved spending time with her family and going to the beaches of Clearwater. She also loved gardening, playing cards and a good joke. She was the last of her immediate family and devout Catholic. Dolly is survived by her 5 children Donna Rotan Stratton, Charles Rotan, Joanne Fleming and husband Mike, Jennifer Rotan, Julie Slaybaugh and husband Dereck. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tiffany Bageant and husband Jason, Mallory Powers and husband Eric, Kara Slaybaugh, Douglas Turco and Alex and Clair Dize. Dolly is also survived by great grandchildren Jackson Bageant and Rylynn Powers. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home & Monument Company, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Park.
