David Michael Vlearbone, 54, of Westminster died Friday, January 7, 2022 at the WellSpan York Hospital.
Born October 23, 1967 in Middlesex, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Barbara Louise Lloyd Lacy. He was the loving husband of 31 years to Barbara Anne Fink Vlearbone and devoted father to dear son, Michael David Vlearbone. He is also survived by caring father-in-law Gordon Wayne Fink and partner Sharon Blaney, aunt Linda Getz, brother-in-law Joseph Fink, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Michelle and Eric Schwelling, niece and nephew Talia and Elijah Schwelling, other extended family and numerous close friends.
David was a superintendent with Mueller Homes, Inc., and generously shared his considerable skills and knowledge as a Master Carpenter with friends and family on various projects over many years. He was a member and past president of the Buc’s Club in Westminster where he was very active in the club’s activities and charitable events, including bull and oyster roasts and crab feasts. David took great delight in cooking for friends and family and had a fondness for camping on the beach and spending time in the great outdoors. As an affectionate and doting father, one of David’s greatest joys was working on endless projects with his son.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 15 from 10-11 AM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Maryland where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Glenn McCrickard of Westminster Church of the Brethren officiating.
