Dana Sayers (Sayers) Atwell

Dana Sayers Atwell, 67, of Sykesville, died Saturday, January 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 27, 1954 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Hewa Glenn and Sarah Ellen MacVean Sayers. She was the devoted wife of Danny Ray Atwell. They had been married for 29 years. Dana was a retired rural postal carrier for the Sykesville Post Office. She enjoyed crocheting while watching The Golden Girls or Murder She Wrote, baking Christmas Cookies and fudge, and spending time with friends and loved ones. In addition to her husband Danny, Dana is survived by daughter Samantha Nicole Atwell and son Ryan Michael Atwell. Funeral services will be private. There will be no public visitation. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Maryland is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
