Dale Whetsel Obituary

Dale W. Whetsel, 69, of Eldersburg, died Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the Adventist Healthcare White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring. Born August 25, 1951 in Dungannon, Virginia, he was the son of the late William Calvin and Mable Marion Lackey Whetsel. He was the loving husband of Sherry L. Whetsel. They had been married for over 34 years. Dale had last worked for AT&T as a senior contract manager. Prior to that, he had worked for General Dynamics. He was a member of the Freedom District Lions Club. He read the Bible many times and attended Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife Sherry, Dale is survived by daughter Mikala, siblings William Whetsel, Jr., Katheryn Countiss, Charles Whetsel, and Rita Serra. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 25th at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends and family at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home & Monument Company, 6028 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Maryland. Interment will be private.
