Obituary

Craig Allen ‘Doc’ Parr, 65, of Mt. Airy, died Thursday, January 26, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at Bridginglife Hospice in Westminster. Born June 16, 1957 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William Allen Parr and Thelma L. MacBriar Saint Jean. He was the devoted husband of Cindy Parr (Bowers). They had been married for 30 years. Craig owned his own home improvement business named Parco Renovations. In his younger days, Doc was a bartender and head of security for the former night clubs Hammerjacks and Baja Beach Club. He enjoyed jet-skiing, eating seafood, especially crabs and shrimp, attending Orioles, Ravens and Capitals games and any activities his grandchildren were involved in. He also was a lover of dogs, especially german shepherds who he would name Shelby. In addition to his wife, Doc is survived by children Carla Godman and her husband William Godman IV, Charles Busch and his wife Dawn Busch, and Casey Bloomer and her husband Eric Bloomer, siblings Lorraine Shipley and her husband Frank Shipley, William (Bill) Parr and Pat, Gail Vergez and her husband Bert Vergez, Susan Smith and Brian Smith, brother-in-law William Godman III, grandchildren Heather Repoza and her husband Corey Repoza, Timothy Godman and his wife Taylor Godman, Trevor Bloomer, Alyssa Godman, Kaylyn Godman, Abby Bloomer, Tyler Batts, Gavin Batts, and Justin Godman, Mason Busch, and Maddison Busch. Great grandchildren: Mackenzie Houck, Savannah Repoza, and Peyton Godman. He was preceded in death by step father Lawrence Saint Jean and sister Karen Godman. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2:00PM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12-2 PM. In lieu of flower, please send donations to The Dove House, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, Maryland 21157.
