Obituary

Charlotte Adele Monroe, 82, of Sykesville, died Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Bridging Life Dove House in Westminster. Born January 14, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Harold S. and Mamie A. Padgett Kintzel. She was the wife of the late Arthur S. Monroe who died February 2, 1988. They had been married for 29 years. Charlotte had worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant for Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland and Edison Community College in Fort Meyers Florida. She enjoyed jazz music and played the piano and dulcimer. She was an excellent photographer and artist. She loved cooking, gardening, and taking trips to explore new places. She had lived for a time in Florida. She was the last of her immediate family. She is survived by son Rev. Arthur S. Monroe, Jr and wife Amity and daughter Patricia A. Grimes. Charlotte is also survived by grandchildren Cheyenne Letmate and husband Mike, Spencer and Hallie Monroe and great grandchildren Brayden and Lyric. Memorial services will be held Friday, October 28, 11:00 AM at The Friendship Baptist Church, 1391 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Maryland 21784 with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private. Sympathies can be expressed in the form of contributions to Bridging Life Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, Maryland 21157. The Jeffrey N.
