Charles Edward Kelly, 76, of Westminster died Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Dove House.
Born February 27, 1939 in Littlestown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Mary Lucinda Bortner Kelly. He was the husband of the late Leila M. Kelly who died July 15, 2012. They had been married for 52 years.
He had worked at Thomas, Bennett & Hunter for over 20 years. He was also a life long farmer. He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Lucinda ‘Cindy’ and Lloyd ‘Chris’ Ludy, son and daughter-in-law Daniel Elton and Melvina Kelly and son Leroy E. Kelly. He is also survived by two sisters, grandchildren Patricia and husband Jon Shaffner, Shannon and husband Kris Tidman, Charles Ludy and fiancé Emily, Sean Kelly, Cora Cronik and great grandsons Jacob Shaffner and Logan Tidman. He was preceded in death by daughter Sharon Kelly.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD with the Rev. Ralf Neis, officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
