Charles ‘Charlie’ Cecil Cooper, 94, of Union Bridge, died Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the home of his daughter Janet. Born August 15, 1931 in Roundhill, Virginia, he was the son of the late Earl Franklin Cooper and Elsie Mae Creamer Cooper. He was the devoted husband of Mary Elizabeth Cooper (Pickett) who died December 6. 2022. . They had been married for 66 years. They had resided in Flohrville for 60 years. Charlie had retired in 1992 from the Baltimore Gas and Electric Utility Company as a lineman after 35years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War. He was an avid golfer and was a longtime member of the former Wakefield Valley Golf Course. He is survived by daughter Janet Kraus and her husband Michael, grandchildren Nickolas M. Kraus and his wife Natalie, Tyler J. Kraus and his wife Sabrina, great grandchildren Ashtyn Taylor Kraus and Michael Lee Kraus. Charlie was preceded in death by seven siblings, Milliard, Peggy, Martin, William, Betty, Lenny and Craig. Per his wishes services and interment will be private. The Jeffrey N.
