Charlene Arnold Stem, 73, of Reisterstown, died Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Northwest Hospital. Born March 3, 1953 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Betty Arnold. She was the wife of William H. Stem. They would have been married for 50 years this July. Charlene was a beautician. She enjoyed doing sudoku and other types of word puzzles. She also enjoyed family get togethers, watching the grandkids and volunteering at the annual Gamber Volunteer Fireman’s Carnival. She was a member of the Gamber Volunteer Fireman’s Auxiliary. In addition to her husband Bill, Charlene is survived by daughters Heather Stem Rouzer and her husband Chris, Melanie Stem Halsey and her husband Doug, sister Jean Arnold Mapes, granddaughters Amber and Madison Rouzer, Brynn and Brooke Halsey, grandson James Rouzer, great granddaughters Carolyn Rouzer and great grandsons Tyler Lowe, Alex Marlett and William Rouzer. She is also survived by nephews Erik and Scott Mapes. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 20, 11:00 AM at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg with the Rev. Frank Trotter, officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
